Bauhaus: Art as Life at the Barbican Art Gallery
New illustration for Amelia's magazine, this time it's for Matt's article about the Bauhaus.
For this occasion I was asked to draw a portrait of the great Mr. Van Der Rohe.
You can read the whole thing over the magazine's website.

Prince Michael reporting for duty
This is Prince Michael, my friend Genie's cat. And my future husband. And he's such a fatty ♥
Sad thing is that I may be allergic to him (and to his half-brother Sgt. Peppers, which has not been featured here yet, but will soon).
Is anyone out there with this not-being-able-to-be-near-cats curse too? Any tips to offer? I don't get a lot of red marks or have any difficulties breathing, so I don't think I have a very strong allergy.
Btw, remember to drop by my Society6 shop!

Deers are overrated
There's this fever with deers lately. Everybody is drawing them, everybody is buying them, you get sick of seeing them every-single-way...
But, I don't know why, I can't get enough of them. So here's some more deer.
You can now buy this illustration as a print at S6

The "snow" were actually ment to be stars, but whatever. More than a year without experiencing winter is getting to me.

Una Navidad diferente
Have you already sent out your holiday cards for this year? Not? Too early?
A few weeks ago, my friend Christian asked me if I wanted to join him and six more artists to create a Christmas/New Year/Holidays postcard.
Everything ended a bit rushed but it was a nice experience!
This is my card and below you can see the rest of them.
Feel free to take the postcards and send them to your beloved ones!

Getting ready for my next trip
I'm getting ready for my next trip, in about two weeks.
My friend and I started planning it arround January? March? So it seemed so far away, but now it's here!
Btw, I changed a little tiny bit the layout of the blog. Still need to change the posts backgrounds so everything becomes legible... I'll do that as soon as I get back home.

Jena Theo show in LFW for Amelia's Magazine
All the people at Amelia's magazine are busy with the London fashion week right now, and I couldn't be less.
As you can see in Jemma's article, I got a couple of ilustrations included in her review for the Jena Theo show. And I'm pretty much happy about how they came out!
I usually don't have the time to spend so much on a couple of ilustrations, but I spent this past weekend working on them (not the two full days, but most of it), had the time to muse over them, and most important, enjoy them, which I think shows.
You can see these at full size (and read Jemma's article) in Amelia's magazine, as always.
A couple more of ilustrations are waiting to be posting, plus a few more coming. So excited to have a nice excuse to draw catwalk shows!

I know I've been away for too long but...
This past two weeks have been crazy.
I suddenly (really, suddenly is not fast enough) got a job. I went to the interview on a Thursday afternoon and the next day I was already working full time.
But, despite not having free time at all, that's (obviously) good news.
Talking about news, I got three more illustrations up on Amelia's magazine!
Remember the last illustration I bloged? I didn't expect it to be published but it did!

These two are part of an article about Paul Smith and his collab. with Rapha on a cyclist line.

This one was a piece I really liked doing even if I couldn't spend a lot of time on it.
It's about vintage shop Lucy in disguise, which is quite cool to tell you the truth.
As I said, I won't have as much time as before to draw/update anymore, but I'm working on a couple of "big" (they certainly are big for me haha) projects, so expect big news from time to time!
Also, Disqus has not been working right on this blog (most probably it's my fault and this blog's horrible html and css) so I removed it. Now blogger's default comment system is the one ruling this place. Don't hesitate to leave comments anymore, even if it's just to say hi!

Le train bleu

And another piece for Amelia's Magazine.
This time is an exhibition review called "Diaghilev and the Golden Age of the Ballets Russes 1909-1929 at the V&A" and you can read it here.
My ilustration represents the play "Le train bleu".
Hope you like it!

Portraits
These are a few portraits I did quite a while ago.
But I look at them from time to time and still like them, so I felt like posting them!

This last portrait is one of my friend Genie ♥ while she's doing her own portraits.

Zoo sketches
I went to the zoo last week to do a few quick sketches, since I was meeting a friend later and didn't have much time. And it really shows, there are just a few drawings!
I'm going back this afternoon, and this time I'm going for birds, so expect a lot about them soon.
